The news is certainly out there about the Ebola diagnosis for a patient in Dallas at Texas Health Presbyterian. The latest information is that a person who did come in close contact with the diagnosed patient is being closely monitored. The emergency room personnel and the paramedics that had contact with the patient are also being monitored, but not as closely, for the next 2-1/2 weeks. At this point, the media had originally reported the Liberian patient had traveled to Dallas to visit family, but other sources are now saying he lived in Dallas. No confirmation has been received as of this time today. Rest assured, there is no threat to the citizens of Dallas – we just happen to live where the first diagnosis of Ebola was made on US soil.
